Food Glorious Food – Australia’s Finest Chefs
I can’t wait for Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Yes, the racing will be great, and the boats will be beautiful, but I’m talking about the food!
Audi Hamilton Island Race Week is Australia’s biggest offshore yachting regatta and attracts both top yachties and weekend cruisers. It also tempts top chefs to abandon their restaurants to spice up the On Shore events calendar.
Kylie Kwong will present At Home with Kylie Kwong, an exclusive dinner at the island’s newest dining spot, coca chu, featuring dishes from her new book, Simple Chinese Cooking. At the opposite end of the week Adriano Zumbo is hosting a luxurious champagne high tea at qualia’s Long Pavillion. In between, Shannon Bennett and Matt Moran will be presenting masterclasses with truffles and lamb, and will team up for a seafood extravaganza designed to evoke memories of the beach. Rounding out the crew nicely is our own Alistair Waddell from qualia, also presenting a masterclass and chefs table dinner.
Good grief! My tummy is groaning at the thought while I can’t seem to wipe the grin off my face. I can’t wait!
