New Asian Restaurant – coca chu – Opening Soon
The cat’s out of the bag. Hamilton Island’s newest dining destination will be opening its doors any day now. coca chu will feature modern South East Asian cuisine and will be headed by Australian chef Adam Woodfield. Adam has recently returned from New York with his family where he was chef-partner at West Village restaurant and bar Betel where he received rave reviews for his creative, street food inspired Asian food.
coca chu will open in the refurbished Beach House on Catseye Beach with a glassed-in show kitchen design by Sydney designers Hare & Klein. Being a lover of good food, I can’t wait for Adam to open up shop. The “pork & prawn dumplings w garlic chive flowers & Chinese black vinegar” is high on my list, as is the “twice cooked half duck w blood plum tamarind sauce, lemon & prickly-ash”.
The restaurant will be included in the Kids Eat Free package and, even better, was a rumour I heard yesterday that they were looking at a take-out menu! Fantastic
