We have had some guests in the last month who have had their Whitsunday Islands holiday on-board a cruise ship. It is cruising season in the Whitsundays. In fact when the Queen Mary 2 arrived last month, it was one of four to visit within the week. It was, of course, the largest!

Today is the turn of the Black Watch, which has 421 cabins and is 205 metres long. She is on a 26 night cruise Singapore to Sydney and will spend four days cruising through Queensland waters, spending some time at Hamilton Island and on the Great Barrier Reef. Black Watch will be giving their passengers Great Barrier Reef accommodation with a difference.

When the ships visit Hamilton Island they anchor off Pebble Beach, giving qualia guests and those in the northern Hamilton Island Holiday Homes a great view.

Tenders deliver passengers to the marina to enjoy Hamilton Island, take scenic flights or play a round at the golf course at Dent Island. Others join a Whitsunday Islands cruise to Whitehaven Beach.
